Megan Abraham

Megan Abraham – Shelter Manager

Hi my name is Megan, I originally started volunteering with Animal Aid in July 2007 one day per week walking dogs! I was lucky enough to be offered a position as an Animal Welfare officer in 2008 and have progressed from there!

I have always had a passion for animals, growing up on a farm with animals great and small, I always knew I’d have to have a career helping them.

This role at the shelter can sometimes be challenging, however it is the most rewarding career you could ask for! Seeing these animals placed into loving forever homes is the greatest feeling and none of this would be possible without the support of my staff and volunteers, hats off to them!

I share my home with 5 dogs, Mia, Narla, Chopper, Jess and my number one man being my kelpie Bruce, 2 very spoilt cats Booger and Bob, 2 very cheeky horses Pooch & Pickle! Along with lots of cattle, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks. It’s safe to say I'm always surrounded by my furry family!

Hi I'm Hannah, I started volunteering at Animal Aid in April 2012 and I was lucky enough to be offered a position as an Animal Welfare Officer several months later. Working with Animal Aid has been a very rewarding experience for me, I have always wanted to work with animals and this has been a great start in the industry.

At home I have three cats Kane, Turtle and Scruffy and a Jack Russell named Bob. I adore my animals and could not imagine life without my little furry family.

Mandy Rolff

Mandy Rolff – Animal Attendant

Hi! I’m Mandy and I obtained my position at Animal Aid East Gippsland right before moving to Bairnsdale in September 2013.

I am also an Equine Myofunctional Therapist and find that the balance of working with small animals at Animal Aid and horses in my own business gives me all the animal related job satisfaction anybody could ask for!

I have a small menagerie at home which consists of Mack- my Border Collie x, Henry- my Giant Schnauzer x, Roger- my Ginger cat who thinks he’s a dog, my paint horse Shayna, and several other farm animals including goats, sheep, cows and chickens. You could definitely say I am an Animal Person!!
