Pathways Support Partner (Maternity Leave Cover)
Full‑time, fixed‑term (minimum 6 months)
Location: Coldstream (Fulham & Bairnsdale)
Commencing: June 2026
Salary Range – $65K- $68K FTE (+ super)
We are seeking a Pathways Support Partner to join our team in a maternity leave cover role, supporting foster care, existing relationships, external partnerships and adoption pathways during this period.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role supporting animals through foster care and into permanent homes. You’ll coordinate placements, guide foster carers, and build strong partnerships with adoption organisations to ensure animals move smoothly through their journey.
Stepping into an established program, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity and ensuring animals continue to receive the attention and pathways they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Match animals with suitable foster carers
- Support and guide foster carers with day‑to‑day needs
- Coordinate veterinary appointments, supplies and animal transfers
- Maintain clear care plans and accurate records
- Build and manage relationships with adoption partners and rescue groups
- Assist with adoption events and animal movements
About You
- You are people‑focused and enjoy building genuine relationships
- You’re highly organised and are able to manage competing priorities
- You communicate clearly and collaborate well across teams
- You’re proactive, adaptable and solutions‑focused
- You hold a current driver’s licence and are comfortable transporting animals
Experience in animal welfare is desirable but not essential.

ABK Customer Service/Administration Support
Location: Coldstream
We’re currently recruiting two part time Customer Service/Administration team members to join Animal Aid’s Boarding Kennels, Cattery and Grooming team. These positions are the front face of our boarding facility and play an important role in creating a positive experience for customers entrusting us with their pets.
The role encompasses greeting clients arriving for boarding or grooming appointments, managing bookings and responding to enquiries. This role combines customer service, administration and organisation in a busy and rewarding environment.
Positions available:
Position 1
5 days per week, 8.30am–4.30pm
Rotating Saturday every second week + some Sundays as required
Position 2
Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm
Plus every second Saturday + some Sundays as required
We understand not everyone is looking for a full five-day week, so flexible arrangements or job share opportunities may be considered for the right candidates, particularly for Role 1.
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A confident and professional phone manner
- Strong organisational and administrative capability
- Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Adaptability during busy peak periods
- Some animal knowledge is desirable
Peak periods between December and February and over Easter can become particularly busy, so the ability to manage high enquiry volumes while maintaining professionalism and warmth is essential.
A current Victorian driver’s licence is required due to our location, and the role may occasionally involve pet transfers using a company vehicle.
