A fantastic opportunity exists for an animal attendant to join our Animal Aid Team

We are seeking a person with a genuine passion for helping people and animals. This role is in a fast-paced team environment and you will need to be able to multi-task to a high degree.

The successful applicant will have:

Animal Husbandry– Proven animal husbandry and canine handling knowledge and experience. Dog Breed knowledge along with good behaviour / medical observation skills. Must be comfortable with handling dogs & cats varying in size and temperament.

Teamwork– You must be able to work in a team environment, one where all staff members are respectful, communicate well and are able to depend on each other.

Communication & Customer Service – Must have sound customer service experience along with exceptional communication skills.

Physical ability / Time management – This role is physically demanding, must have a “can do” attitude and be prepared to work in all weather conditions. The position is fast paced and requires everyone to be able to manage their time and priorities to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner

Reception – Along with great communication and customer service skills you will also be required to have basic computer skills.

Role duties & responsibilities

    • General care, husbandry and handling of animals.
    • FOH Administration and Customer Service
    • Assist with animal admissions
    • Monitor and report animal health.
    • Upkeep and clean the facilities.
    • Work in a team environment and support volunteers.

New Graduate or 1st Year Veterinarian

Full Time
Location – Coldstream
Salary Range – $65,000k – plus super

This role has been created specifically for new vets to develop their skills in a mixed welfare and private practice. You will be an integral part of our animal welfare mission and be working with an incredible team.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, has a drive to succeed and is wanting to develop their veterinary skills in a busy team orientated environment. The right candidate will have the energy to make a real difference.

We provide excellent learning opportunities and the chance to undertake a broad range of work across consultations and surgeries. There is also pathway for advancement as you gain experience. Our team is highly skilled and provide mentorship and opportunities for learning. Our clinic was built in 2018 and is equipped with latest technologies.

This role is an integral part of our greater animal welfare mission; delivered by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers across Animal Aid businesses including Shelters, Boarding Facilities, Grooming Services, Animal Training, Retail, Fundraising and Community Engagement.

Salary will be dependent on experience and is negotiable for the right person.

Associate Veterinarian

Flexible 3 to 5 days per week negotiable with work life balance a key goal.

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced veterinarian who is seeking work life balance with financial and emotional reward. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for applying your veterinary skills in a mix of private and welfare cases. Our clinic principally cares for small animals, with occasional exotics and small ruminant cases.

Our team is led by a highly skilled Clinic Director who provides mentorship and opportunities for learning. Our clinic was built in 2018 and is equipped with latest technologies. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be an integral part of our animal welfare mission and be working with a great team.
