Gifts in Kind
We are always in need for in-kind donations including everyday essentials such as food and bedding, but also items that may not be seen as necessities; items which we know will either improve an animal’s time with us, enhance our ability to provide our services or help increase the awareness of our important work. Pictured below are some items that would make a great donation to our shelter.
Blanket and Towels
If you have any questions about the items we are able to receive please call (03) 8756 1300
Leaving a gift in your will
Leaving a bequest to Animal Aid gives you the opportunity to make a lasting difference to countless stray and surrendered pets when you can best afford to do so. Upon receiving a bequest we quarantine the gift donation from our operational spending so that we can direct the funds to capital projects and the development of programs that will benefit the animals in our care. These funds also assist with existing programs that involve pets in the crossfire of domestic violence, allow us to offer expert assistance during natural disasters such as bushfires, and also provide a range of community education programs.
If you would like to have a chat about leaving a bequest, please call Animal Aid on (03) 8756 1300, or email fundraising@animalaid.org.au
Pen Sponsorship
One fantastic way to show your support is to sponsor a dog, rabbit or livestock pen. These funds make a huge difference to our everyday work and help us to cope with the increasing cost of meeting all of the physical, emotional and environmental needs of the animals in our care.
Sponsorships can be made by individuals, businesses or in memory of a loved one. These funds will be put towards the care, feeding and veterinary costs of the animals in that pen.
Companies or families who wish to sponsor a dog kennel or cat/kitten pen can choose a pen which will then have a permanent sign fixed to the front displaying their company/family name, (for the duration of their sponsorship – 12months).
The signs are A5 size, made of Perspex and will have wording of your choice on it (space will be available for a company logo on all Business Sponsorship signs). There are four levels of pen sponsorship available:
Gold Sponsor
$1000 for one year or $84 per month
Silver Sponsor
$500 for one year or $42 per month
Bronze Sponsor
$250 for one year or $21 per month
Animal Aid Opportunity Shops
Thanks to the dedication of our team of fantastic volunteers, Animal Aid is able to operate several Op Shops. The income generated by the sale of second hand goods helps support the important animal welfare work carried out at our Coldstream, Bairnsdale and Sale facilities. We accept items and goods in reasonable condition for re-sale in our Opportunity Shops. Donations of goods can be made at our shelters or directly to our Op Shops. Sadly, Many items are in such bad condition we have to dispose of them as they too damaged to either be safe and functional. The disposal of such items costs Animal Aid significant funds every year.

Community Fundraising
Fundraising and donation drives are a fun and rewarding way to make a difference to animals in need. So whether you’re an individual fundraising on your own, or a community group, school, workplace, or club, get involved and make a difference. Apart from providing much needed funds to support the operations of our shelters, community fundraising events are also a great opportunity to create awareness and promote the adoption of the homeless animals in our care.
