VCAL Vocational Majors Block Placements

Vocational Major must be in Animal Studies to apply.

100-hour blocks on offer (1 day per week for 13 weeks)

Note* Limited numbers apply.

*Note: The work is physical in all sorts of weather and public transport is unavailable, students must be dropped off and picked up by their guardian.

Students will be selected based on a successful interview process, once your application has been accepted, we will be in contact to organise an interview time and date.

Placements:

Placements may occur in one department or a combination of departments:

• Welfare Kennels (9am to 5pm)
• Welfare Cattery (8am to 4pm)
• Boarding Kennels and Cattery (8am to 4pm)
• Grooming Salon (9am to 5pm)

Pre-placement preparation: Learning how to communicate in the workplace, understanding health and safety protocols in a welfare setting.
